How can I build muscle AND prevent acne at the same time?
Posted in How To Build Muscle on 10. Mar, 2010
I’m serious. I want to build muscle and have better self esteem, but I’m afraid that I’ll get many pimples in the process. Do you guys have any ideas to have a great body & face?
BTW: I use chocoate protein shakes, could that make my face get worse?

don’t so steroids.
Yes those shakes can make your face get worse. So just don’t use those and of course steriods because that gives you bad acne. Just go to the gym and take showers afterwords. Keep going to the gym regularly and muscles and no acne should develop.
lol Ruth thinks that a protein shake is going to give you acne…….ok here this is what you need to do. lift weights and if your scared about the protein shakes giving you acne then go to your local GNC and purchase either Creatine or Nitric Oxide….i prefer nitric oxide just because it works and dosnt take long to see results. now for acne just shower after you get done working out so the sweat dosnt get into your skin and be sure to wash your face really good while your at it. if you still get acne i would consider using stuff like proactive or some acne stuff that works for you because it could be genetic having bad acne but those are my tips. good luck man and hope everything works out for you.
…what the hell kind of protein shake are you buying?
Look, don’t lump every piece of sports nutrition into a category with steroids. Acne is a side effect of steroids because the excess buildup of hormones messes up your endocrine system. If a product in no way, shape, or form introduces foreign hormones into your system or forces your body to produce more on its own, it won’t cause acne. And if your protein shake, which most likely consists of primarily whey protein, which is a component of milk protein, causes acne, then by proxy milk causes acne. And since to my knowledge this isn’t the case, don’t worry.
1. Wash your face every day. You can use regular soap, but they sell special kinds of soap to get rid of the oil in your pores. Here’s some examples:

2. Use an astringent after washing. That will help remove the reside and oil that the soap leaves behind. It also removes a lot of the redness from swollen pustules. Put a reasonable amount of the astringent onto a cotton ball (you don’t need to soak it). Rub it in small circles all over your face and let it dry.

3. Apply a substantial amount of honey to your face every few weeks and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Honey is a natural antibacterial that will get rid of blemishes, sore spots, and scars.

4. Having long hair will contribute greatly to your acne. If you can, keep your hair out of your face and the number of zits near your hairline will decrease. I personally let my hair grow out to about 3-4 inches, my acne near my hairline was terrible. Then I got a buzz cut, and now I get zits near my hairline about as often as anywhere else on my face.

5. Change your pillowcase often. Think about it; your face is pressed against it for a little less that half of your life, so lots of oil builds up on your pillow.
