    The Muscular system holds your body in position and allows you to move.

    2. How does the system work?

    Bending and straightening are two functions of your muscles. Muscles work in opposing teams to create the full range of movement. One set pulls to bend the joint and the other pulls to straighten it.

    3. How does this system interact with other systems in the body?

    The Respiratory system interacts with the muscular system when you inhale. The muscles between your ribs relax. The Digestive system interacts when your food is
    pushed down the esophagus by your muscles. The Nervous system interacts when nerve impulses inside your muscles tell you to move your muscles. The Skeletal system interacts by the bones being attached to your
    muscles so that your skeleton keeps it’s structure. The Circulatory system interacts, when your blood carries nutrients and oxygen to your muscles.

    4. What are some of the positive and negative actions of people that can affect this body system?

    Exercising helps keep your muscles healthy and keeps them growing. Taking anabolic steroids weaken the inside of your body. They can give you liver damage and cancer. Steroids can stop teenagers from growing and can cause depression, impatience, leaning / memory, problems and mood swings. In guys steroids can interference with normal production of testosterone. They can also act directly on the testes and cause them to shrink. In girls it can stop them from having children and their back starts to shirk and arch.
