Why does muscle make exercise easier?
Posted in Muscle Exercise on 01. Mar, 2010
I assume it has to do with energy. Like more muscle can metabolize more fat/carbs thus providing more energy for exercise. Or maybe more muscle can store more glycogen.
Does more muscle allow you to metabolize more fat though?

exercise involve generation of power.this power is actually in other sense Force e.x.when you lift a bucket full of water then you have to apply some force,or when you push someone then you need to apply force.muscle are responsible for generating this force.the fats/carbs are used to provide energy that is further utilized for contraction of muscle that generate force.
the more muscle you have, the more used to exercise your body is. it only feels easier, but in reality it is the same level of difficulty. you’re just used to it.:)
Well muscle is rich in mitochondria which is of course the site of respiration where substrates are converted to energy in the form of ATP. This energy allows the individual to exercise for a longer period of time. Of course, anaerobic respiration will take place after a certain point when the aerobic process cannot take place fast enough.
Muscle, along with the liver, store a lot of glycogen which (when glucagon is released from Beta cells in the islets of langerhans, a specialised tissue of the pancreas) is converted to glucose, when levels of glucose in the blood are low. This produces extra substrate for respiration to take place. It is true that the more muscle you have, the greater potential for glycogen storage.
Theoretically more muscle means greater fat metabolism.
